If you care, be aware and share

With all the "weird" things I eat, drink, use and do, people usually come up to me and ask me about what I'm eating/drinking/using/doing. A lot of people usually ask about what I eat or drink because, honestly, it usually looks or smells weird. From my Flackers, homemade kale chips, my "butter coffee" to my chia seeds, people ask and I share(why and how and offer a taste). Most people don't get to the tasting part after I get through my teaching(especially when it came to the "butter coffee", but it's good!! I swear! TRY IT!), but a few of those who do, actually like it.  I get a little teary-eyed when I see a co-worker with chia seeds swirling in their drinks or when somebody tells me that they can't make kale chips fast enough because their family devours them out of the oven. And I blush a little when a co-worker just comes up to me and asks for an update on any new health/food stuff I've been trying. I love exchanging ideas, especially when it involves making something/someone better.

So, in this spirit, since I "see" most of my people online these days, I just wanted to share my newest "thing". After doing some research, I finally decided to give NYR Organics a try. Their products range from skin care(for women, men and babies), cosmetics, to massage oils and therapeutic essential oils. I've sampled their frankincense cream, which made my already soft skin even softer(it's like if a baby could have a baby, I'd imagine that my cheek would be how the baby's baby's butt would feel).  I've ordered a bunch of their stuff, but I'm really excited to get the essential oils. I already make my own lotion/hair tamer with a mix of grapeseed and almond oil scented with orange and tea tree essential oils, which they also carry, but theirs is organic!  And since accidentally discovering the wonders orange peels work on my headaches, now I can make my own little vial of headache elixir oil instead of bugging co-workers for their leftover orange peels and looking like a glue-huffing drug fiend.  And the best part is that although their line isn't exactly cheap, it costs the same, if not less, than high-end skincare products that promise similar results but use ingredients you wouldn't want in your body (nor your kids'!) nor in your water.

I've signed up to be a consultant, not to make exorbitant amounts of money, but to spread awareness, health and beauty. (And, for complete disclosure, so I can throw parties and craft and put together cute little sample kits while getting a tax-write off!) So feel free to look through the website to inform yourself (what you should/shouldn't be looking for in your skincare and cosmetic products) and maybe to see if there's anything you'd like to try.  Once I get all my products in you guys are welcome to come over and play with them with me or I can send you a lil' sumin' sumin' to play with on your own. Spa party!
